Hang gliders and grass..

The commencement of the holidays was too uncoordinated to be properly appreciated given everyone had different oral times and thus Lan's transition from mad crammage to freedom had been quite blurred.
Her oral went fine(?). The examiners seemed friendly and intent on asking her everything in this world about sutures. She has heard that the adjacent room seemed unnaturally keen on asking about antibiotics and ignoring the fact that it was assessed under another subject so yay for sutures. Lan then drove home with Sivvy whose air con isn't working so in essence Lan's celebration came in the form of sweating profusely. Lovely.

The next day included lunch/Colleen's 21st surprise at Han Guuk Guan and the following night was Kimbolina's extremely delayed 21st at Nectar Lounge.

Anyhow that's not what Lan's been looking forward to after a month of 16hrs/day of study and 4hrs of sleep on average. Lan just wants to sleep, go to the library to borrow books and most importantly PLAY SPORT.
Need.to.reverse.atrophy.

Now Lan is beginning to feel uncomfortable because this sounds like an actual blog post, something she's tried to avoid. Soo.. to conclude this post, a selection of random happenings throughout the semester have been included for light entertainment.
Enjoy.

Ceelo and SB playing thumb wars.
Lan was mediating and chanted: "1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a thumb war. Shake hands"
H (puzzled): Lan? What is it that you just said? 1,2,3,4.. Aunty Clara... on the dancefloor?

H: I want to ask Glenn Browning if he likes baking brownies (our Bacteriology and Mycology lecturer and co-ordinator)

"Howard Florey was on the front of the old (paper) 50 dollar note, who was on the back?"
After many guesses..
"..the queen?"
"No, incompetent mothers are put on the 5 dollar notes"
-awkward laughter-

Writing perianal deaths instead of perinatal deaths in response to inherited pituitary defects.

Ceelo (reads): Westies are most commonly predisposed to...
Ceelo (turns to SB): What's a Westie?
SB: Westie? Ah.. Western Bul-
Lan (interjects): that's a footy team! West Highland Terrier sillyy.

Canavette: I didn't know you were meant to add salt to the soup! They should specifically state in the recipe 'add salt to season'! I thought that if I kept boiling it, the flavours would automatically come out!
Someone: So how long were you boiling the soup?
Canavette: In the end, about 7-8 hours?

Lecturer: Lamb is the glamour side of the sheep meet industry. Mutton production however is just as big. Can anyone think of why mutton has not become as popular as lamb?
Student: Well.. the name mutton itself isn't very appealing. Mutton. Maybe if they changed the name?

Anaesthetics lecturer demonstrating the consequences of overdoing epidurals:
"OH MY GOD I put too much epidural! The horse will go hysterical"
"Might as well shoot it"
-KAPOW!-

IVCS Lecturer:
"Some people just don't realise that granulation tissue is GOOD."
"Oh granulation tissue! OH NO YOU DON'T! TSCH TSCH TSCH"
-makes wild spraying motions-

SB & Lan: Why's your chicken so dark?
Ceelo: Oh it's cos I marinated it with honey and soil
SB & Lan: SOIL?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO WONDER WHY IT'S SO DARK!
Ceelo: SOY! I meant SOYYYY!
