Lan hopes that tomorrow turns out well.
Extensive planning can only take one so far but is inconsequential in regards to what may precipitate. Either way she has a massive feast planned (she even had a trial run) and hopefully it will be edible enough to be consumed voluntarily.
On a related note, Lan received a mysterious letter the other day.
Apparently it was from the government which imparted an ominous feeling to it.
However, when Lan and her rather excited brother tore the envelope open, they found..
