LOLOL. I feel your pain so well. My aunty from France rang me and asked: "so you're on holiday now, you must have gained weight yeh?" And all my aunties in Australia say: "OHH my, you're looking more circular and have more meat and skin now" (direct translation from viet) haha!
LOL lan *pats*
i guess there are upsides to the inability to comprehend one's grandmother's language fluently, after all...
hope you're enjoying your rotations! your posts sure make it sound like you are :)
Minh: Yes asian pleasantries are.. unique. It seems to be customary to at least slip in an earnest comment about the current circumference of one's belly or the prominence of one's chin. Lovely.
Wonder what comments will be given tomorrow upon arrival?
Faithsies: Faithsiessssssssss. How's internship going? Made any funny little (innocuous) stuff ups that you could share? Likely not lol.
Rotations were alright and surgery was AWESOME. Hope that physics "knowledge" is still serving you well!
haha yesss slip ups. i have made one of those but they are not amusing because mistakes in pharmacy are like... life threatening... :( at least it was noticed!!
do you know, it is slightly awkward to sell some types of medicines still. like "stud 100" ... um yes i am not sure i want to say what it is for...
but in any case i can't say i enjoy packing syringes for people who use them.
