RELIEF..

Exactly on this day, three years ago, Lan received her VCE results.
She was feeling jetlagged, having just arrived back in Australia that morning.
Being a creature of habit, she had opted for snail mail notification.
The moment she saw her ENTER, disappointment permeated through her mind
(even the .15 increase due to an administrative error could not help).
It was now reality that she wasn't getting into Veterinary Science. At least not yet.
Oh well. Biomed it was and maybe.. just maybe if she could manage a H1 average, she could get a transfer..

3 years on and the 11th of December is once more a results day.
This time, Lan is relieved. Her steady decline in marks has now ceased.
Admittedly it was only an improvement of 1.6% but nonetheless an increase.
In retrospect, not getting in directly was more fulfilling that she could have ever fathomed.
