2 days to go..!

 .
Two more days and Lan will have her first hockey match and baddy training session in almost 2 months.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Cannot wait.

The Annual Speakers Night was probably the first non-important social event that Lan has attended in her 3 years of Vet. Sport, of course, is  requisite for life and the Halfway Dinner was a "celebration" of uh.. 2nd year.
The night involved fingerfood (yum except that the catering people skipped Lan's table TWICE), cocktails or mocktails if you are well behaved/drove, a game of Spicks and Specks and speeches.
There was a total of 3 speeches. The first was by a new grad (07) who imparted 'pearls of wisdom' from her experiences to the audience. The second speaker had some very funny anecdotes. He also owns a few extremely flashy practices on the Mornington Peninsula with state of the art equipment.
-Drools- So going to try and do an elective there.
The last speaker is originally from America and encountered a few lucky breaks during his career despite graduating 37th out of 75 students. Now that is inspirational for a less intelligent vet student such as Lan. After doing external rotations in cardiac surgery and human hospitals, he was inspired to become a cardiac surgeon but this gave way to specialising in oncology before moving on to a few other things thereafter. He opened the first radiotreatment centre for animals in Australia and all that other prestigious stuff. Moreover he has a CT scanner on par with human hospitals at his practice. THE. IMAGES. ARE. AMAZING.
Lan wants to go and seeeeeeee.

All in all, it twas a night well spent seeing as Lan now feels more motivated and optimistic about life after graduation.
