Lan is NOT ready for Microbiology & Virology "quiz", even if her immune system's idea of assisting is via allowing her to become infected by a (as of the current moment) mystery virus.
There is of course significant nasal discharge and after seeing that video on African Horse Sickness, Lan sincerely hopes she doesn't have that. However, it'd be interesting to deduce how she even caught it. Perhaps just through watching the video? Sounds kind of like The Ring. Aha?

Either way, she feels as if she is somehow further impaired in her mental faculties.

So how can Lan find out what kind of virus it is? Hmm, how entirely perplexing..
As aforementioned, there is nasal discharge.. What other SIGNS (not symptoms even if Lan is human [debatable, shall inquire into that later]) are manifest? Inability to form coherent thoughts- no that's normal. Lame attempts to seem humorous? That, is also perhaps normal. Sad.

Lan supposes the safe way would be to take a blood sample then perhaps biopsy of lymphoid tissue or is that for aborted foetuses? Lan is surely not an aborted foetus.

Anyhow the propinquity this quiz is quite alarming and yet Lan is gabbling away on here.
