12 hours of toil..

Lan has learned several things today.
1. Marinade can almost act as an emetic and yet still yield a very tasty result.
2. She doesn't know what coffee is meant to taste like and thus the excessive time spent in the kitchen.
3. Not all types of coffee have granules that dissolve and no, they do not persist in order to impart 'texture'.
4. She is naive to coffee. Wayy too potent.
5. She is borderline neurotic. 3 hours into it, she decides to begin again.
6. She needs to study before the notorious horse rotation starts.
7. She cannot do proper calligraphy to save her life.

Nonetheless, hopefully daddums likes his little surprise tomorrow =)

First attempt at Indian cuisine: Chicken tikka masala.
Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Cà phê sữa đá) Panna Cotta.

First layer in the fridge. 'Sentinel' sample the right.

Lan is such a coffee noob, she didn't know you weren't meant to have granules LOL
Champagne glasses held in place (rather precariously) by a wedge of paper towels and blu-tack
The 'Sentinel"

Happy Father's Day Ba!

Thankiess.
Daddums liked them- until he had a taste. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), the coffee layer was a bit of a fail- wrong coffee, too dilute and too much gelatin ahahs.

Shall have another attempt when time allows though.. but probably this time substitute coffee with something else! Oh and not use champagne glasses.. too much hassle.
