Lan is now going to take some time (a month to be exact) off to study diligently for her exams. Lan is hoping that in making this public to the entire virtual community she will then feel obliged to fulfill this statement.
Lan knows it's a feeble attempt at bullying oneself but she is nevertheless very desperate.
Lan is inwardly gloating at someone who thinks there is a cryptic meaning embedded within this blog in a similar fashion to how protein molecules are embedded throughout the plasma membrane.
